FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro

FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro

The FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro is the new all-in-one package for demanding users with a cable connection. It combines a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem for multi-gigabit speeds with tri-band Wi-Fi 7, versatile telephony functions, and smart home via Zigbee and DECT ULE. Configuration is extremely simple using the MyFRITZ!App. The integrated DVB-C quad tuner also brings free-to-air cable TV to the home network. Up to four different TV channels can be streamed simultaneously on terminal devices in the home network – via Wi-Fi or LAN cable. Telephony, parental controls for internet access, Wi-Fi guest access, network storage (NAS), smart home applications, VPN and much more round out the first-class features.

Innovative Wi-Fi 7 with 6 GHz for a strong Mesh home network

Wi-Fi 7 is ideal for households with many wireless devices. Along with the 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands, the new 6-GHz band brings additional capacity for even more speed and less interference – optimal for streaming, cloud applications, or gaming. Thanks to Multi-Link Operation (MLO), devices transmit concurrently over multiple bands while Puncturing selectively filters out interference. The results are maximum speed, high stability, and reliable performance in the entire Mesh home network. The FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro achieves Wi-Fi speeds of up to 5760 Mbit/s (6 GHz), 5760 Mbit/s (5 GHz) and 688 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz).

Smart home with DECT and Zigbee

The FRITZ! Smart Home integrates sensors, actuators, and radiator controls simply and centrally via the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro. In addition to DECT, the FRITZ!Box also supports Zigbee. This allows many smart home devices to be integrated directly and without an additional manufacturer-specific bridge. For example, a Zigbee motion sensor can switch a FRITZ!Smart Energy smart plug connected via DECT ULE. Scenarios such as ‘Leaving the House’ or seasonal lighting can be configured centrally and controlled conveniently.
