FRITZ!Box 5630
High-speed home network directly on the fiber optic connection
The FRITZ!Box 5630 Edition International is the new entry-level model for use directly on a fiber optic connection via AON/GPON. Equipped with Wi-Fi 7 for up to 3.5 Gbit/s, one 2.5-Gbit/s WAN/LAN port and three Gigabit LAN ports, the FRITZ!Box 5630 is the ideal solution for a future-proof home network. Easy operation with FRITZ!Apps, and comprehensive functions like VPN, smart home integration, and telephony offer additional convenience.
Runs directly on the fiber optic connection and offers a wide range of WAN options
The FRITZ!Box 5630 offers direct fiber optic access via AON and GPON. Getting started is easy: simply connect, then configure conveniently via the app or the FRITZ!Box user interface. An additional SFP module is not required. It is also possible to connect to an existing modem or ONT via the 2.5-gigabit WAN port. Optionally, the 2.5-Gbit/s WAN port can also be configured as an additional LAN port.
Always online thanks to the new FRITZ! Failsafe failover protection
The FRITZ!Box 5630 ensures an uninterrupted internet connection. In the event of instability or failure of the fiber optic connection, it switches automatically to a failover connection – either by means of a second FRITZ!Box via WAN/LAN or by means of a mobile dongle via USB. This feature is available with FRITZ!OS 8.20 or later and is ideal for anyone who depends on a reliable internet connection, whether when working from home, in a retail store, or in an office environment.
Mesh Wi-Fi – The intelligent system for the home network
The FRITZ!Box 5630 supports Mesh Wi-Fi, ensuring that your videos, music, and photos seamlessly reach every last corner of your home network. FRITZ!Repeaters, FRITZ!Powerlines or other FRITZ!Box models adopt the settings from the FRITZ!Box at the internet connection. This way all devices are always optimally connected – automatically and reliably.
Smart home, convenient telephony, and multimedia included
The FRITZ!Box 5630 is more than a router: It also serves as a smart hub for light, heating, and electricity. A range of intelligent devices such as smart plugs and radiator controls from FRITZ!, as well as devices from other manufacturers, can be easily connected. The phone system supports one analogue phone and up to six DECT phones. A multimedia server for videos, music, and photos rounds off this impressive package.
